Two Weeks In...

I'm confidant that the work I do goes above and beyond the call of duty. I enjoy what I do, and I appreciate the time I give unto my work. When I'm not doing what gives my life true passion, it is dull and unforgiving. It takes time and patience to really see a thing succeed. That's why I commend anyone that takes the time to volunteer.

Volunteers are the backbone to the progress of any venture.

Volunteerism is rooted deep within the fibers of what it is to be a human. We volunteer everyday without acknowledgement. Real communication takes on the act of volunteering to be a listening ear. True love challenges the concept of truly becoming one with interdependence and your mate.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a seminar on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, a lesson from the Franklin Covey series. Introduced to me through channels on the job, I attended and gained knowledge; maybe even wisdom.

Habit 1: Be Proactive

Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind

Habit 3: Put First Things First

Habit 4: Think Win-Win

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood

Habit 6: Synergize

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw

I learned a lot about the importance of volunteering to listen, and being part of a winning team. In truth, you must listen. We must listen to what it is that we're here for and how we may be able to succeed at such things. Relationships are choosing to volunteer as a role in someone's existence.

Here's my take on one.
